Hello,
first thanks for this really promising addon!
I wanted to test the distributed rendering with blender 2.8, win10 64bit and got this error (tried to install vc_redist.x64 and *.x86 failed as well):

Ok, Thank you,
Great services
Thank you so much for your hard work and services,
But I could not install in the Blender 2.80 beta, Ubuntu 18.10 cosmic.
Error: my Python version: 3.6.7
Crowrender support up to 3.6.5 only.

Hi James,
of course I have downloaded the new version on the day when you have put it online - and I've freezed my Blender 2.80 installations to the version of the same date. :)
The installation of Crows Render works well now. And using Crowdrender works well too as long as I'm using only Macs as nodes. When I add a Windows PC to the nodes all computers render too, but I only get a transparent / empty image as render result when they are finished. The Computer I'm working on is a Mac, 4 other Macs and 2 Windows 10 PCs are nodes. For me this is not a huge problem because my Macs (which are Hackintoshs) are faster than my other PCs). But I'm still testing. I have found other bugs (with manual load balancing). I'll create a new post when my tests are finished. :)
Hi Sebastian, sorry for taking ages to get to this, yes, the bug is fixed, you can now download a version of our add-on that supports blender 2.80. You'll need to make sure you are using version 2.80.40 or greater of Blender to use it though.
Aaanndd, I can't guarantee that by now the 2.80.40 build has either been replaced with a newer version, or has been changed by a daily build that again breaks the addon. Though so far it seems to be working still.
Hi James, do you already know when this bug is fixed? I would love to try the crowd render addon with blender 2.8. I'm currently starting with 2.8 (I have never used the older versions because I was never able to understand the UI of these versions), so downgrading to the stable versions of Blender is unfortunately no option for me.
Hello James, absolutely understand and thanks again!
Hi Filip, we're currently working on a version that supports blender 2.80 beta. We do have a version available to download, but sadly after releasing it, blender institute changed their blender 2.80 beta download with an update that causes this error. We have only just discovered this and we're working on a patch to the current downloads. The last version that our addon worked with was Blender 2.80.35, if you can get access to this version the current blender 2.80 compatible addon can be downloaded from our site and should work fine with this specific version of Blender.
The Blender institute will keep changing the blender 2.80 beta download quite often until the final official release. So we'll keep seeing things change and potentially break our addon. Until that happens, you're most welcome to download the addon, but please understand that it may not always work. We'll try to keep up with the changes as they happen but there is a delay in the time between we see a problem and we can fix it and distribute a new build :)
Hope this helps
