Hello,
i wanted to enable crowdrender on my machine, but i get always an error. It doesn`t matter if i tray Blender 2.79 or 2.8. I have downloaded the versions for 2.79 and 2.8, but nothing works. I always get the error in the screenshot
There ist a problem with unsupported python.
When i open Blender 2.8 and try to install cr for this version, i get this error
Yeah, something ain't right, v016 should support python 3.7.0
Can you send me a file from your installation? It will help diagnosing why this is occurring for you. The file is located in the addon installation. From the addon installation you need the crowdrender/src/__init__.py file
You can send it to our info at crowdrender dot com dot au address :)
I also tried this. I downloaded the latest verson for Blende 2.79 and i get the same error.
I removed the addon complete and also looked in the addon-folder. There was nothing from crowdrender. Then i reinstalled it but the same error.
Hi Gopper,
Hmmm, looking at the error message, I'd say you have the wrong version of crowdrender installed. What I mean exactly is that the error message looks like its from an earlier version than the latest v016 build. If you've recently downloaded the addon and installed it, I'd recommend removing the addon before installing it.
I understand blender has a feature that allows you to just install over the top of the existing addon, but I've found this doesn't always work properly and you're much better removing the addon, this deletes the entire installation of crowdrender (but you still keep your preferences for Crowdrender and data generated using the addon).
So, maybe give remove and then reinstall a try?
