Connecting my homelaptop to desktop at work!

I have blender 2.8 (version from may 8th 2019) and crowd render 0.17 !

First of all I was confused which ip to use, when following your doc file I find an IPv4 adress but when looking my IP up on https://www.myip.com/ I find another one. I think I need the IPv4 one, is that correct?

My laptop connects but my desktop not, one thing that's keep on happening is that when I insert the desktop's IP and then check it, it has changed in an unknow IP adress, what's happening?
