There's a high probability that I'm doing something dumb and missing a very obvious answer. I've got 3 computer on my local network that I'm trying to render with. And while experimenting I added a 4th.
I can connect to any of them, but only one at a time. If they're all logged in to my cr account I only show one node in my list. And whatever node it shows will change to a new one every few minutes.
I also tried logging them all out and setting different port ranges for them, then adding each of them manually with their ip's. When I do that they are all in the node list and it connects to one of them but won't connect to any of the others. If I delete the one that's connected it immediately works on one of the other ones.
Not sure what I'm missing. Any advice on what to try?
Hi Isaac, are you running any virtualisation at all? From what you've described, where nodes get replaced by others, this sounds suspiciously like they all have the same hardware id. This can happen when you use some form on virtualisation or containerisation.
Hardware Id's need to be unique, otherwise crowdrender can't tell the nodes apart and as each one tells the system that it's 'alive' it's going to confuse the heck out of the client.
Fixing this requires making sure each node uses a unique hardware ID.
If you're not using containerisation, then best to let me know, there might be some other reason.
