Hi All
First I want to thank you Crowd Render for this nice and powerful tool ! is really amazing.
I have a scene ware like 1 section of the scene present a lot of particle and is very heavy to render and another is quite fast to render. I'm encountering problem to setup the load on my 2 machine.
I have 1 machine with a GPU and the other without.(or too less ram on the GPU)
I found hard to control correctly the load of every single machine because to me is unclear winch portion of the scene will be rendered by witch computer.
Is this possible to decide manually which part of the scene will be rendered from a specific PC ?
Thank you
Thank you for the reply James
I hope that the crowdfunding campaign will be a success with the help of all us users
Hi zumpitu,
Thanks for posting :) Ok, so the part of the screen given to each computer is going to constantly change each time the scene is rendered. So you can't really control this. The reason is that for animation renders, the load balancer will do a better job on average if each computer renders a variety of different positions of the image.
Unfortunately this can make some situations like yours difficult to optimise, but don't worry, we're going to replace the current load balancer with a new system soon. We're still crowdfunding the necessary funds for development on our website. You can check the progress of that here -> https://www.crowd-render.com/crowdfunding
Until then, you can set the proportions of the screen given to each computer manually, but just bear in mind that the part of the image rendered by each machine will be different for each render.
