Hey Guys,
First of all Amazing work. I will ask my chef to subscribe if I get the Render farm up and running. I succeded hooking up 15 Machines.
But I struggle with Load Balancing. 7 Machines were hooked up later. now these ones are getting verry little tasks and finishes minutes before the other Machines. Is there a Way to reset Load Balancing ant start even for every Machine ?

Hi Henrik,
This does happen to new nodes you connect to later on. The problem is that they are by default given very little of the screen to render as a test to see how powerful they actually are before giving them a larger part of the image to render.
As for resetting the load balancer, yes, you can in a way reset it by assigning the balance to be manually assigned. You can click on the "edit load balancing" button (see image below)
Then you can assign a weight for each node. The weights should all sum to 1.0 which represents the total area of the final image to be rendered.
If all your nodes are of equal compute power, then you would simply give them all the same value, so if you have two nodes of equal power, give them 0.5 each, three, give them 0.3333 and so on.
One word of warning, in the current publicly available version, V0.2.3 as of the time of writing, you might find that the weights change for other nodes as you manipulate the value of the node you wish to change. This can be a little disturbing to begin with. Its due to our code attempting to make sure the total always sums to 1.0 exactly. So you might have to compromise on the exact values you want.
After a few frames have been rendered you may wish to try switching back to automatic mode which by then will have gathered the data from the previous renders. This technique usually gives a more accurate starting point for the automatic mode.
Hope this helps?
James
