Hi,
This may be a Blender specific question, I'm a bit of a noob, but I have a small farm of 7 dedicated render nodes and I just got Crowd-render hooked up to all of them and are testing out the process of distributed rendering. However, I have noticed that each time I load up blender I have to manually re-load and connect each of those nodes. This can be a bit of a time suck and I wondered if it was possible do save the connections so each time I load Blender, those connections are loaded.
Im wondering if this has something to do with the way blender clears and re-sets your work space each time it opens, so if anybody has some thoughts or can recommend a good tutorial on how I might remedy this I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!
Thats great. does blender need to be running on a machine that is intended for use as a node?
Hi Ted,
You can add these machines to your list, then save your startup file. This would mean that whenever you start a new file, those machines will be in your list.
The other option is to log each computer into your cloud account. That way, so long as they can reach the internet, they will appear in your list of nodes automatically.
