I'd like to use my PC as a render machine. I usually never use it, so dedicated it as a render/gaming/media server combo. It's always running and I'm planning to access it through vpn etc... But locally first.
Blender works fine on both of these computers. I can render on my M3 Max with Metal and I'd like to use the PC's rendering capacity which will be HIP rendering because of the AMD card.
I already opened the ports on Linux (it's a Fedora 40 based distro "Nobara"). I actually opened them for other apps too, like LocalSend which have similar needs as Crowdrender. I can send files between this 2 computer without any issue, it's like a multi-platform airdrop. This was not working initially either. I needed to open the port. But for Crowdrender... not working.
If I launch both Blenders, Crowdrender can somewhat connect to the Linux PC, it says ready. But when I try to sync it's becoming "unresponsive" if I try anything after it says: "connection failed" or similar...
I opened the suggested port, and both systems have the exact same Blender and Crowdrender version. I'm not sure what to do. Do you have any suggestions?
