@James Ah, I thought maybe I accidentally changed the camera position or something and that's why that render issue happened. Any idea why that would have happened if I didn't change anything in the scene itself?

That seems to have fixed it. A useful feature would be if you click the render button, it automatically does a sync. That way all the machines will have the current state your file is in. Either way you have to sync after making any change right? It helps if we forget to sync and start a render only to realize after it's done that we forgot to sync.

@James i'll try that now.

Nope. No manual load balancing and no animation. It was just a simple test still-image. I tried setting the tile size for each node to 16x16 and it was still happening. This render was without any settings being changed.

@James Hey, I updated both machines today to the latest version available and they both sync up fine! Thanks for your help! I do have a new problem though, which I'll post on a new thread.

@James Hey James, I believe the latest versions of Mac and Windows have different version numbers. My main design machine is a mac. My render nodes are PCs.

@James Just tried that. 1. Saw that blender was still running in activity monitor, so I force quit all that. 2. Re-opened blender on master 3. connected to nodes 4. I saw it uploading, but then it failed to sync. 5. Re-opened blend file, and it still fails to sync.

@James So: 1. close blender on all machines 2. re-open blender on master first 3. then re-open blender on render node 4. open blender file 5. See if it syncs Is that the correct order?

Sorry, at the bottom bar the version numbers say: Windows: v2.80.60 Mac: v2.80.58 Could that be the issue? I think they're the latest builds for the OS versions.

Just one. The other was just TeamViewer checking my render node. Here's my mac version #: And here's my windows version #: I believe they're both the latest versions available.
